Welcome to WikiProject U.S. Public Policy! This WikiProject is for collaborating on Wikipedia's coverage of United States public policy. It's also part of the Wikimedia Foundation's Public Policy Initiative, a project aimed at finding better ways to recruit experts and students to help improve Wikipedia content. Want to help out? To join this WikiProject, please sign your username under the participants section and put {{User WikiProject United States Public Policy}} on your user page. If you want to get to work right away, one of our first tasks will be identifying articles of interest to this project, and tagging their talk pages with a basic assessment template; or use the talk page to introduce yourself and your area of interest. [edit] TimelineThis is a work in progress, but it should give you some idea of what is coming up.
[edit] ParticipantsHave a question? Want to meet others involved? Check out our Participant List. If you think you're up for it, add yourself to the list. You can also add a userbox to your talk page: {{User WikiProject United States Public Policy}}. Still stuck? Leave a message for Sage Ross. How about saying "Hi!" to our newest members? [edit] Wikipedia AmbassadorsPlease join us! We're looking for Wikipedia Online Ambassadors and Wikipedia Campus Ambassadors from the editor community to collaborate on the project with us. You can also see our list of professors who have signed up to be part of the Initiative in the fall at the Participant List. The Public Policy Team is working on developing a volunteer system for Wikipedians who want to help new users and students. The fine details are still being worked out, but if it sounds like something you're interested in, sign up and help the team figure out what the Wikipedia Online Ambassadors program will be like. The Public Policy Team is also working on a Wikipedia Campus Ambassadors program for volunteers who want to introduce students and professors to the basics of Wikipedia and help out with courses in person. [edit] What to doThere's tons of stuff to do!
