Talk:List of Care Bears books

Although substantial so far, how should this page be re-ordered (and/or rewritten)? Sadads has also expressed concern about it. Slgrandson (How's my egg-throwing coleslaw?) 20:10, 7 September 2010 (UTC)

Talk:Windows Phone 7

There is a major reconstruction beginning on the article. We need community consensus to continue, please voice your opinions on the article. Thanks intelati(Call) 21:32, 6 September 2010 (UTC)

Talk:The Mousetrap

Is it a reasonable compromise, and a common-sense application of WP:SPOILER, to put the ending of Agatha Christie's famous, much-loved and world record-beating murder mystery play, The Mousetrap, in a collapsed box, as a courtesy to those who have asked us not to reveal the ending openly?
For background, see the Signpost article on the controversy, and the article in The Independent, as well as discussions above. --JN466 13:52, 5 September 2010 (UTC)

Talk:Care Bears

I'm now dying to see this become a featured article in the coming months. I've only started to play my part in the improvement (what with the length, quality and vandalism issues constantly plaguing it), reliables and all--but just one problem bothers me:
How exactly should this page be restructured in future?
I have half a mind to start something like Timeline of the Care Bears franchise (from the "History" section) anytime from now--some kind of temporary solution. But I haven't heard of any GA or FA concerning a toy line-turned-media franchise--and I don't even know any sort of inspiration. (Transformers may come close, but I'm still not so sure about it.)
I could start going through a PR for this article if I had the nerve, but thanks to the cleanup tags throughout the page, I really can't. Hence, I've taken this issue to RFC. Slgrandson (How's my egg-throwing coleslaw?) 17:04, 4 September 2010 (UTC)

Talk:God of War III

Please share your opinion on the "original plot" section (relevance, wording). User IP 125.63.xxx / 125.7.xxx always deletes it instead of improving it, stubbornly referencing "poor grammar and weak, colloquial language". User repeatedly insults other editors in that fashion (evident from his history). I am not a native speaker, so I would appreciate neutral, unbiased feedback on the quality of the "original plot" section. Thank you all. 84.56.59.199 (talk) 09:42, 4 September 2010 (UTC)

Talk:Everest Peace Project (2006 climb)

There are currently three articles on the same topic: Everest Peace Project (2006 climb), Everest: A Climb for Peace and Everest Peace Project. It's unclear in which way they should be merged though. Please elaborate on your thoughts! Thanks, Spatulli (talk) 15:10, 3 September 2010 (UTC)

Talk:Alexa Ray Joel

Issue: "fair use" of album cover art (image) in section of biography dedicated to describing that album.
Needed: specific reasoning from editors at least familiar with or preferably expert at fair use in copyright, and Wikipedia non-free content WP:NFC. RCraig09 (talk) 20:41, 2 September 2010 (UTC)

Talk:List of Toy Story characters

This page used to be very good in describing all the characters. Now all of the sudden it looks like a new page that needs expanding. Many of the characters like Hamm might not merit there own page but they should at least have a real bio here. JDDJS (talk) 17:18, 1 September 2010 (UTC)

NewsCorp, the parent of Fox News Channel, has made a $1 million donation to a GOP organization. Should this incident and the controversy surrounding it be included in the Fox News Channel controversies article? Proponents contend that the widespread accusations against FNC of Republican bias makes this information relevant; opponents contend the information is only relevant to the NewsCorp article. //Blaxthos ( t / c ) 19:27, 21 August 2010 (UTC)

Talk:2010 in country music

There doesn't seem to be a single source online to verify the positions added by Eric444 and BravesFan2006 pertaining to the Canadian Country Singles chart. CloversMallRat doesn't want them removed, thinking them to be especially important. —Preceding unsigned comment added by TenPoundHammer (talkcontribs)

Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Balzac

Should we use French titles for Balzac's novels, or English translations? This has been discussed before, but no clear consensus has been reached. (French vs. English titles is an ongoing discussion across the wiki, I know, but I'd like to reach a conclusion for this project at least, and I'm uncomfortable with having a mix.) Recently La Cousine Bette was moved to Cousin Bette, and instead of risking a page-move war, I'm seeking consensus.
WP:UE says "The title of an article should generally use the version of the name of the subject which is most common in the English language, as you would find it in reliable sources", although the application here is unclear, as noted below. (Obviously, whichever choice we make, a translation to the other language will always be included in the first sentence of the article.) 14:49, 18 August 2010 (UTC)

Talk:Shakespeare's plays

One editor, Smatprt, continues to reinsert fringe content discussing the Shakespeare authorship question into the article Shakespeare's plays, which I have reverted with the explanation that its inclusion is in violation of WP:ONEWAY, which states that “Fringe theories should be mentioned in the text of other articles only if independent reliable sources connect the topics in a serious and prominent way” and “If no independent reliable sources connect a particular fringe theory to a mainstream subject, there should not even be a link through a see also section, lest the article serve as a coatrack.”
He has been reverted by three editors, myself, Nishidani, and Verbal, and another editor, Xover, has weighed in against the inclusion of the material. Tom Reedy (talk) 00:49, 9 August 2010 (UTC)
